Marcia Kraft-Sayre
Marcia Kraft-Sayre is the NCRECE Professional Development Study Coordinator at the
University of Virginia, as well as the Project Coordinator for the MyTeachingPartner project.
Previously, she was the UVA Regional Coordinator for the National Center for Early Development
and Learning (NCEDL) Multi-State Study of Pre-Kindergarten and the Study of State-Wide Early
Education Programs (SWEEP). She has also served as the coordinator for the NCEDL
Kindergarten Transition Project. Prior to her work at the Curry School of Education, she worked
as a clinical social worker with children and families in mental health and medical settings. Her
research interests include the transition into kindergarten and professional development in early
childhood education.
